I just finished up the first session at my summer job, and it was quite possibly one of the greatest experiences I've had since I started five years ago.
This session made me realize why it is I continue to come back after all
these years. Sure, it can be stressful, and hard work, certainly, but
watching the growth and transformation of these students is absolutely
remarkable. and to know that I had even the slightest bit to do with
their success makes me unbelievably happy.
How many people can truly say that they love their
job? Really and truly love it. I’m incredibly blessed to be able to say
that I love where I work every summer. Can’t wait to work even harder
to make magic with and for these kids in the next three weeks.
Also, this weekend I saw my friends in a production of Urinetown, which was directed by two of my very good friends. I was absolutely blown away by every aspect- from all the technical elements to the incredible musical talent, to the staging and acting. It was so incredible to see my friends take on directing such a difficult show, and to do it with such major success. I'm so proud of what they did with this show, and know they'll go on to do more amazing things in the future for sure!
